About the Clinic
Built from personal experience. Driven by a belief in better care.
London Iron Infusion Clinic was founded in 2026 by Dr Rhea Bhadresha, a GP who grew frustrated watching patients struggle with a system that wasn't doing enough for them, and who set out to build something better.
Our Story
A GP frustrated by a system falling short.
Working as a GP in the NHS, Dr Rhea Bhadresha saw the same pattern play out daily. Women stuck on oral iron tablets that caused nausea, constipation, and failed to make a meaningful difference. IV iron on the NHS is reserved for women who meet strict clinical criteria, often with considerable wait times.
She watched patients wait. Month after month on tablets that weren’t working. Returning to her surgery still exhausted, still symptomatic, still being told to “give it more time.”
Then she looked at what was happening elsewhere. In the United States and Australia, IV iron infusions are routinely offered at far more accessible thresholds, and the results are transformative. Women describing the treatment as life-changing. Energy returning. Fog lifting. Life resuming.
It was the pregnancy-related cases that affected her most deeply. Women during and after pregnancy struggling for months to restore their iron and haemoglobin levels. Patients who had just given birth were struggling with iron deficiencies that caused debilitating fatigue and supply issues during breastfeeding. Feeling low, disconnected, and dismissed. Dr Bhadresha empathises with these women profoundly, and built this clinic with them firmly in mind.
London Iron Infusion Clinic is her answer.

A cause close to our hearts
The postpartum crisis no one talks about enough.
Every day, new mothers are told their tiredness is normal. That exhaustion after childbirth is just part of it. That breastfeeding difficulties and low mood are to be expected.
But for many of these women, the root cause is entirely treatable: iron deficiency. Childbirth causes significant blood loss, iron levels plummet, and the consequences follow, including crushing fatigue, impaired breastfeeding, low mood, and in some cases postpartum depression.
Oral iron is often too slow, too poorly tolerated, and too limited to make a real difference in the critical early weeks and months. IV iron can restore levels within weeks, at a time when it matters most.
We are committed to making this treatment accessible, affordable, and fast for every postpartum woman who needs it.
Why choose us
What makes us different.
Doctor-led from start to finish

“I built this clinic because I was tired of watching women suffer needlessly. Tired of a system that sets the bar too low. Tired of seeing new mothers struggle for months when the solution exists, and watching patients and people I care about go without it. UK women deserve the same standard of care that women elsewhere take for granted.”
